We are currently going through Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s classic work The Cost of Discipleship.

Bonhoeffer has become a cultural icon whose popularity will likely increase due to a movie that is being released in the Fall of 24’ about his life. Bonhoeffer is famous for his anti-fascist movement, “The Confession Church” which rose during the ascendancy of the Nazi regime in Germany in the 30’s and 40’s. Though Bonhoeffer was a non-violent Christian, he participated in a plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler, was caught for his part in the plot, and later executed for it.
