Being a Christian in this world can be challenging. Raising a Christian child in this world can be even more so. We are here to help! Our Sunday School meets on the last Sunday of the month at 9:15am(dates listed below) where our teachers help instruct children in the Christian faith. We involve the children in all ministries of the church.
Sunday School is designed to be interactive, encourage creativity, fun, and engaging. We use things that kids are already familiar with to teach about Jesus. Things like Legos, Video Games, Videos, Stories, Arts and Crafts, Storytelling, and Dollhouses. We try to make learning about Jesus fun because Jesus loved kids! On Sunday, January 12th, Council President Rene Gordon taught the youth of the congregation along with the congregation itself what Kwanzaa is, it’s history, principles, and practices!
DIY Advent Calendars Pictures from 11/24/24
Sunday Schoolers and Adults came together on Sunday, Nov. 24th to make their own DIY Advent Calendars! The kids and adults had a great time making calendars, listening to Christmas music, and eating cookies!
Reformation Day Sunday School
10/27/24
The kids wrote down their reforms of the church and nailed them to the Church door like Martin Luther did with his 95 Theses back in 1517!
Pics from “Lego Sunday School” 9/29/24
On Sunday, Sept. 29th, 2024 at 9:15am Zion’s Sunday School participated in “Lego Sunday School” where the kids depicted the biblical story, The Good Samaritan, in three scenes: The Robbery, The Passerby, and The Good Samaritan. The kids worked in teams to use the random Legos they received to visualize the Bible story they heard moments before. They did an amazing job collaborating, making this story come to life, and retelling the story through art, and, we had a great time doing it! Awesome job all!
